How do VoxFi points and rankings work?
VoxFi is a social game to see who reads the future best. Make calls on real events, follow the results and compare your points with other players. Bring your friends and find out who gets it right more often.
Start with a call
Choose a topic you follow, such as sports, science, technology, politics or culture. Read the question and the event rules. Then pick YES, NO or one of the available options.
The Mars question on the homepage is a demo. To take part in the game, open the app and choose an available event.
How many points is a correct call worth?
Factual events are decided by a verifiable result, such as a match score. Your points depend on your side's share of votes when you make your call. A correct call earns 100 minus that percentage; a wrong call loses that percentage.
For example, you pick YES when it has 30% of the votes. If you're right, you earn 70 points. If you're wrong, you lose 30. These are base points, before bonuses. The percentage is recorded when you make your call, even if others vote later. Getting a less popular answer right earns more.
What if the community decides?
In democratic events, the side with the most votes at closing wins. Percentages stay hidden while the event is open. Scoring uses the same math as factual events, with your side's final percentage in place of the percentage at your call. A correct call earns 100 minus that percentage; a wrong call loses that percentage.
If YES finishes with 75% of the votes, players who picked YES earn 25 base points. Players who picked NO lose 25. The more people disagree with you at closing, the more a correct call is worth. Your choice at closing is the one that counts.
Follow your place on the leaderboard
Open the leaderboard in the app to see your points and who is ahead. Compare results for the selected period and track your calls on the opinions screen. Share events with friends to find out who saw the result coming.
Your profile also has a tier: Apprentice, Adept, Seer, Prophet or Oracle. Prophet and Oracle are competitive, reflect the last 30 days and must be maintained.
